Community Development in Local Goverment - Delivered with LGPro WA

Introductory Course

Overview

Local Governments play an important role in supporting the development of strong communities. From frontline services such as libraries, community safety, and recreation, to policy and planning functions, local government officers help build communities that are connected, resilient, inclusive, and empowered. While the work of building community in local government takes many forms and is often complex, there are some basic community development principles and practices that we can apply across a range of contexts to help guide our approach.
