We will work with you to ensure the success of your projects is measured by the positive impact they have on the communities you serve.
Our Approach
With expertise in social policy and a community-driven approach, we help organisations develop plans and strategies that reflect local needs, aspirations, and assets. We are dedicated to fostering collaborative planning, innovative problem-solving, and harnessing opportunities for collective action to create meaningful change. Our approach involves building a picture of the current state through social research and stakeholder engagement, mapping community assets to understand existing strengths and gaps, and identifying priorities through inclusive engagement processes that inform effective strategies.
With deep expertise across various social policy areas, we leverage strong partnerships with industry leaders to bring specialised knowledge to our projects, covering critical issues such as homelessness, multiculturalism, youth, aging, disability and public health. Together, we drive impactful solutions that make a real difference.
Social Planning for Local Governments
We have extensive experience supporting local governments with a broad range of place based social planning projects. We support local governments by undertaking research and engagement to develop an understanding of community strengths and vulnerabilities as well as current and future demographic and social trends. We translate these insights into evidence-based recommendations and actionable plans that align with vision, resources, good practice and legislative requirements, ensuring communities are supported to thrive now and into the future.
What we can do for you:
- Current state assessments
- Social strategies, community development plans and frameworks
- Public Health plans
- Targeted topic and/or demographics-defined plans, such as homelessness, youth, and multiculturalism

-
Researched best practice and local roles; developed case studies and recommendations that frame priorities and partnerships for the City’s future homelessness plan.
-
Co‑designed a whole‑of‑community roadmap aligned to All Paths Lead to a Home, including situational analysis, principles, measurable actions, and governance; endorsed by Council and launched Feb 2025.
-
Mapped local community services to identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities, providing evidence-based recommendations to inform future planning, advocacy and resource allocation.
Multicultural Planning
Multicultural Action Plans are a requirement for WA public sector agencies under the WA Multicultural Policy Framework. When working with clients on a Multicultural Action Plan (MAP), we start by identifying the needs, strengths, and priorities of culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities and reviewing current practice, before outlining practical steps needed to foster inclusion, equity, and participation. Our process includes reviewing relevant policies and demographic data, as well as direct engagement with CaLD community members, leaders, and service providers to understand lived experiences and barriers to inclusion. Where applicable, we will also engage with internal CaLD stakeholders (for example, staff). Our priority is to deliver an actionable, measurable plan that is relevant and ensures cultural safety and a more welcoming, connected, and culturally responsive community.
What we can do for you:
- Review existing MAP
- Stakeholder engagement (internal and external) to inform plan
- Communications strategy to ensure project engagement
- Develop MAP, including actionable KPIs
- Leverage our network to ensure a range of suitable perspectives are included in both the engagement and plan development stages
-
Engagement with parents from a range of diverse cultural backgrounds to understand barriers and enablers that prevent and promote access for multicultural families to child health appointments.
-
Engagement with consumers, health staff and community stakeholders and development of a new Multicultural Action Plan.
-
Development of a guide for local governments on locally implementing the principles of multiculturalism.
-
Facilitation of a forum with cultural leaders to support locally identified opportunities for strengthening relationships and responding to community needs.
